Union County Dixie Girls Softball offers the following programs:
Lil SweeTees 3&4 year old players that are learning the basics of softball. They will use a tee to help develop their swing while also learning where 1st, 2nd, 3rd base, and home plate are. They will also learn how to field a ball.
SweeTees is our first age group that is Dixie Girls Sanctioned. These girls are 5&6 year olds. All games are scored in this age group. The players will only use a tee if contact cannot be made after 4 swings.
Darlings is our last year of coach pitch. The players are 7&8 year olds. These are usually fun and close scoring games. As a spectator, this is probably one of the most fun age groups to watch.
Angels X-Play is our first year of fast-pitch for the players. The players are 9&10 years old. The rules in this division are made to help the players transition from coach pitch to player pitch. You may even see a coach come out to pitch at the beginning of the season.
Ponytails X-Play consists of your 11&12 year old girls. This division closely mirrors school ball rules.
Debs and Belles divisions is usually combined. The age group goes up to 19 years old. We are really looking forward to a successful 2021 season.
